The Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), together with the Ministry of Construction of Russia and federal experts, are holding a series of educational online seminars for municipalities in the Far East. The main objective of the seminars is to increase the number and quality of applications from municipalities in the Far East to participate in the Competition for the Best Projects to Create a Comfortable Urban Environment. The competition is being held on the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin with the support of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and FEDC.
The experts of the seminar were representatives of the Competition organizing committee, regional Competence Centers, municipal employees with experience in preparing projects, as well as specialists in the field of urban and territorial development. The reports were made by the Deputy Head of the Department of Regulatory and Methodological Work of the Federal Project "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment" of the Federal Autonomous Institution "Project Directorate of the Ministry of Construction of Russia" Ekaterina Lukashevich, Deputy Director and Head of the Department of the Project Directorate of the Ministry of Construction of Russia Dzhemal Surmanidze, Director of the Foundation "Institute for the Development of Cities of the Republic of Tatarstan" Nailya Zinnatullina, Head of the city of Korsakov in the Sakhalin Region Alexander Ivashov. They spoke about the rules for submitting competitive applications, their content, as well as the criteria that experts and members of the Federal Commission follow when evaluating the work.
