The National Center "Russia" hosted a presentation of the educational opportunities of the Far East. Students of the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU), the Buryat State Agricultural Academy named after V.R. Filippov (BSAA), Blagoveshchensk State Pedagogical University (BSPU), and a senior lecturer of the Higher School of Management of the Pacific National University (PNU) spoke to high school students of Moscow. They spoke about educational programs, practices and employment prospects, student support and admission rules.
Gasan Gasanbalaev, Executive Director for Social Development of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), told applicants about the advantages of Far Eastern universities. He noted that schoolchildren's interest in the Far East is growing every year. According to him, this academic year, universities in the Far East have accepted three times more students from other regions of the country. High salaries at Far Eastern enterprises are an additional incentive for young people to start a career in the macro-region: the largest migration increase is recorded among people aged 20-24.
