Modernization of inefficient generation facilities in hard-to-reach settlements of Yakutia will be carried out by a new resident of the Russian Arctic

The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) and “ENELT Arctic” LLC (100% subsidiary of the “ENELT Group” LLC) have entered into an agreement on investment activities in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. An agreement in principle on the implementation of investment projects in the field of modernization and construction of distributed generation facilities based on renewable energy sources in isolated and hard-to-reach areas of the Far East and the Arctic between FEDC and “ENELT Arctica” was reached on the sidelines of the VI Eastern Economic Forum-2022.

The project of the new AZRF resident is aimed at modernizing inefficient diesel generation facilities in 11 villages of Yakutia. The investor will build Autonomous Hybrid Power plants (AHPP). The investor will build autonomous hybrid power plants. The total capacity of the installations planned for construction will be 21.7 MW. The volume of private investment in the implementation of the project will amount to 1.9 billion rubles.
