The Far East events calendar will allow for centralized promotion of regional events and eliminate overlaps when tourists and tour operators are forced to choose between several major events taking place simultaneously in different regions.
The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) and the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, together with the regions of the Russian Far East, are preparing a Far Eastern events calendar. This work is being carried out in accordance with the instructions of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin to create a model for attracting foreign tourists, with a separate focus on promoting event tourism. Yulia Ivanova, Deputy Director of the Investment Department of the FEDC, announced that the event calendar is planned to be presented in the spring of 2026 at the VI Sustainable Development Forum in Kamchatka.
