A million seedlings for the restoration of forests in the Far Eastern Federal District were grown in 2024 by a resident of the Priority Development Area in the Jewish Autonomous Region
Far Eastern Forest Restoration Company (DLVK LLC), as a resident of the “Amur-Khinganskaya” priority development area, has created a modern nursery for growing planting material for compensatory forest restoration in the Far East at the site of the “Shalom” industrial park in the city of Birobidzhan. The enterprise will reach full capacity in 2027, and the volume of seedlings grown will increase to 5 million per year. According to the agreement with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), 167 million rubles are being invested.
"The project is being implemented within the framework of the federal environmental agenda, and has a positive impact on the implementation of the indicators of the "Forest Preservation" project, which is part of the national project "Ecology". At present, within the framework of the project, a greenhouse complex has already been created, consisting of year-round and seasonal greenhouses, a production building with a modern automatic seeding line, and administrative and utility rooms necessary for accommodating employees.
In 2024, we grew 1 million forest crop seedlings for our clients in the Far East. We will reach full production capacity in 2027, having built three more greenhouses and two fields for further growing. The volume of cultivation will increase to 5 million seedlings per year," said Alexey Sheremetyev, Director of DLVK LLC.
