The Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin visited the Amur Region and the Zabaikalsky Region. He was accompanied on his working trip by the Minister for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic Alexey Chekunkov.
The Minister presented the Prime Minister with a report on international territories of advanced development (ITAD) – a new preferential regime in the Far East, which should attract foreign investors for joint projects in border territories. High-tech goods with high added value will be produced in such territories.
In the Far East, it is planned to create five ITADs: in the Amur, Primorsky, Zabaikalsky and Khabarovsk Regions, and the Jewish Autonomous District. The bill on ITADs in the Far East was adopted by the State Duma on July 17. The law is scheduled to come into force at the beginning of 2026.
