The master plan for the development of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky was presented by Governor Vladimir Solodov at the “Russia” forum

Implementation of the master plan for the development of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky will begin in 2024. The master plan was approved by the President of the Russian Federation. In accordance with the master plan, the Government of the Russian Federation adopted a long-term plan for the socio-economic development of the city with a total funding volume of 150 billion rubles, including extra-budgetary sources. This was announced today by Vladimir Solodov, Governor of the Kamchatka Region, at the exposition “We are the Far East” as part of the International Exhibition and Forum “Russia” at the VDNH (Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy). The governor noted 3 main directions of development: First, the natural landscape of the city is a reflection of Kamchatka: development with views of volcanoes, ensuring accessibility of recreation on the ocean shore. The second is an integrated approach: identifying areas for development, demolition of dilapidated housing and development of new microdistricts, accessibility of key points of attraction; Third - development of the city center - complete renovation of an area of 217 hectares with the creation of a natural park, public center, pedestrian street, piers.
