The unified airport complex, covering 48,000 square meters, is one of the main air gateways to the macro-region. The international terminal has a capacity of up to 1 million passengers per year, while the domestic terminal can handle up to 3 million.
Russian President Vladimir Putin inaugurated the new terminals in 2019 and 2025.
Thanks to the opening of the international terminal, passenger traffic to international destinations is showing steady growth: 192,000 passengers were handled in the first half of 2026, a 28% increase over the same period last year.
