FEDC took the initiative to create a fund for the development of distributed generation in the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation

The Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic (FEDC) took part in a round table meeting on the topic "Development of distributed generation in remote and isolated areas of the Far East and the Arctic: the role of the state and business", which took place in the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation. The key topic of discussion was the KRDV initiative to create a fund for the development of distributed generation. Sergei Romanov, Deputy Director General of the Russian Energy Ministry, spoke about the current state of local energy in the Far Eastern Federal District and the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. Olga Arutyunova, Deputy Director of the Electricity Development Department of the Russian Ministry of Energy, spoke about the development of a program for the modernization of local energy in the settlements of the Far Eastern Federal District and other measures to support the modernization of small-scale generation projects in remote and isolated territories. According to Maxim Gubanov, head of the energy and housing sector of the FEDC, the issue of developing distributed generation in remote and isolated areas is much broader than the modernization of existing DPPs and requires systemic attention at the federal level. The participants of the round table supported the initiative of the FEDC and approved its inclusion in the final recommendations of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation.
