FEDC spoke about the transformation of the Secondary Vocational Education system in the Far East

A press conference, "Technological Leadership through the SVE System: The Primorsky Region Experience," was held in Vladivostok. It focused on the role of Secondary Vocational Education institutions (SVEs) in the technological independence of Primorsky Region and the training of personnel for its economy. The conference also highlighted the 3rd Far Eastern “SVE Change Leaders” Conference, which will take place from June 15 to 18. At the event, Kirill Klimenko, Director of the Human Resources Development Department at the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), spoke about how colleges and industrial enterprises in the region interact.

Participants at the event paid special attention to the federal project "Professionalism," which is being implemented in the Far East with the participation of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the FEDC.

"Thanks to the Professionalism program, 36 clusters are already operational in the Far East. Four will open by September 1, 2026, and in 2027, 13 more clusters will be established at colleges and technical schools. This represents an annual increase of approximately 30%. 1.2 billion rubles will be invested in the clusters' creation. Furthermore, at the direction of the President of the Russian Federation, the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, together with the FEDC, is working to create over 600 workshops by 2030. Of these, 447 have already opened, and another 68 will open this year. A total of 3.7 billion rubles have been invested in the creation of these modern workshops. As part of the cities' master plans, seven university clusters will be opened, as well as two campuses for the secondary vocational education system—in Buryatia and Yakutia. All of this, taken together, will create the necessary infrastructure for training qualified specialists for the macroregion's economy," said Kirill Klimenko.
