FEDC took part in the International Congress "Coal Industry: Innovation, Digitalization and Ecology"

The International Congress "Coal Industry: Innovation, Digitalization, and Ecology" was held in Moscow. It was organized by the Interregional Scientific, Technological, Business, and Educational Partnership "Sustainable Development of the Far East and Arctic" (SDFEA), “System Consulting” LLC, the editorial board of the information and analytical journal "Regional Energy and Energy Saving", the Ministry of Industry and Geology of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the ANO "World-Class Scientific and Educational Center "Kuzbass-Donbass", and the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation".

The event was held with the support of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Russian Energy Agency" of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC).

The plenary session, "Coal Industry 4.0: Innovation, Digitalization, and Environmental Responsibility," moderated by Maxim Tereshchenko, Minister of Industry and Geology of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), discussed current, strategic issues related to the development of the domestic coal industry and ways to overcome the challenging situation created by changes in global coal prices, as well as a range of geopolitical factors.

Maxim Gubanov, head of the FEDC’s energy and housing and communal services department, spoke about the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation’s activities to develop the coal industry in the Far East and the Arctic.

FEDC supports investment projects in coal mining and the development of transport infrastructure for export deliveries. In particular, “KOLMAR”, “VGK”, and “Severnaya Zvezda” have taken advantage of preferential treatment and are already implementing projects related to the development of deposits in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Sakhalin and Krasnoyarsk Regions.
