FEDC took part in the ESCAP forum in Kamchatka

The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) took part in the dialogue of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) on sustainable energy development on the topic of "Achieving SDG 7 in Remote and Hard-to-Access Territories", which took place at the All-Russian Youth Ecological Forum "Ecosystem. Protected Area" in Kamchatka Region. The event was organized by the ESCAP Secretariat and the Russian Energy Agency (REA) of the Russian Ministry of Energy.

Maxim Gubanov, Head of the Energy and Housing and Utilities Department of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation, presented the corporation’s experience in creating conditions for the development of intelligent energy in isolated and hard-to-reach areas of the Far East and the Arctic.

According to Alexey Kulapin, Director General of the REA, the proposals of the FEDC and the “EnergyNet” Center met with significant interest from the participants in the dialogue and have the potential for further scaling in the Asia-Pacific region.
