FEDC: preferential regimes in the Arctic have room to develop

The forum “The Arctic: Present and Future” is taking place in St. Petersburg. The agenda of the forum includes issues of socio-economic development and security of the Russian Arctic zone. As part of the strategic session “Arctic Portfolio: Attracting Investments in the Russian Arctic,” forum participants discussed the investment potential of the Arctic regions and business conditions. Deputy Director of the Department for the Development of Preferential Regimes of JSC "FEDC" Grigory Karakov spoke about measures of state support for businesses operating in very difficult climatic conditions. “Support measures not only need to be preserved, they need to be developed,” Karakov is sure. “We regularly hold meetings with business and the legislative branch to understand what entrepreneurs lack. we have prospects for the growth of preferential treatment and, as a consequence, the growth of our economy.”
