FEDC presented projects for the development of the creative economy of the Far East at a conference in Moscow

The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) took part in the conference “Strategies for the development of the Far East and Arctic - creative industries, education, tourism, sports,” which was held at the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN). The event brought together representatives of the academic community, specialists in the field of creative technologies, representatives of specialized organizations and regional creative communities. The main topics of the conference were the development of creative industries and tourism in the Arctic and Far East regions, as well as attracting young professionals to work in the regions. During his speech at the conference, FEDC Executive Director for Social Development Hasan Hasanbalayev focused on creating an ecosystem to support the creative economy in the regions. According to H. Hasanbalayev, “In the next 2 years, due to state support, a network of 5 creative clusters will be created in the Far Eastern Federal District. In November 2022, the creative cluster “Quarter of Labor” began operating in Yakutsk. Life is already in full swing there. We expect that by 2025, at least 150 companes - residents and more than 1 thousand people will work in “Quarter of Labor” (Kvartal Truda). On behalf of the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, by 2025 Centers for Creative Industries in the cities of Blagoveshchensk, Vladivostok and Ulan-Ude and an art cluster in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky will be created. It is planned to allocate a total of more than 3.7 billion rubles for these purposes.”
