At the sessions "Geobranding for Attracting Talent and Investment" and "From Start to Market: How Support for Creative Industries Should Work," Gasan Gasanbalaev discussed the role of creative industries in regional development. His presentations focused on the transition from isolated successful projects to a comprehensive model for developing the creative economy—one that brings together the 11 regions of the Russian Far East, federal agencies, development institutions, and the business community.
“For the Far East, the creative economy serves as a tool for the social and economic development of its territories. It helps to reveal local identity, create new points of attraction, support entrepreneurship, and generate opportunities for residents to realize their potential. In 2025, revenue from priority creative industries in the Far Eastern Federal District reached 2.4 billion rubles, exceeding the target of 2 billion rubles. Our strategic goal is to increase the share of the creative economy to 6% of the macro-region’s GRP by 2030. To achieve this, it is essential to integrate infrastructure projects, workforce development, support measures, and the promotion of regional products. Such a system will enable creative entrepreneurs to grow their businesses in the Far East and expand into both Russian and international markets," noted Gasan Gasanbalaev.
