The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation presented measures of state support for energy development in isolated and hard-to-reach territories at the International Forum “The Arctic: Present and Future”

At the annual XIV International Forum "The Arctic: Present and Future" named after A.N. Chilingarov in St. Petersburg, a presentation of the expert analytical report "Local Energy: Market Development Conditions" was held. It was prepared as part of the joint work of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) and the ANO "Energinet Center". The document formulates measures of state support for investment projects to create local energy facilities. Developing territories and improving the quality of life of people in the Arctic is impossible without a reliable and efficient energy infrastructure, which is the basis of economic activity. Given the scale and characteristics of the macroregion, the key role in ensuring guaranteed energy supply to consumers in the Arctic belongs to local energy sources that are in close proximity to the consumer. This is why the FEDC seeks to attract private investment in the creation of modern engineering infrastructure with the aim of replacing inefficient diesel, fuel oil and coal generation using state support mechanisms.
