FEDC offers strategic solutions for the development of renewable energy sources in local energy systems of the Far East and the Arctic

The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) took part in the conference “Russian Renewable Energy: Energy Transition Technologies”, organized by the Association for the Development of Renewable Energy with the support of the Russian Ministry of Energy. As part of the session dedicated to the development of renewable energy generation projects in retail markets, Maxim Gubanov, head of the energy and housing and communal services department of the FEDC, shared his opinion on the development of the industry.  “We propose to consolidate in the Energy Strategy of Russia for the period until 2050 the development of local energy systems as a separate direction of state energy policy and to create an instrument for its implementation in the form of a special fund, similar to the PPC “Territory Development Fund” for the housing and communal services sectors or the PPC “Russian Ecological Operator” “for waste management,” summed up Maxim Gubanov.
