At the EEF 2024, the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) reached an agreement with the Guangdong Provincial Committee for the Promotion of Trade with Russia and the Changchun Branch of the Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) on cooperation in implementing joint projects, providing information assistance in implementing investment projects and exchanging information on government support measures, as well as assistance in organizing business missions and visits by delegations of the two countries.
"The Guangdong Provincial Council for the Promotion of Trade with Russia was established in February 2024 to promote the implementation of trade and investment projects between Guangdong Province and the Russian Federation. CCPIT in Changchun is a state-owned organization directly subordinate to the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. Both state structures are taking part in the Eastern Economic Forum. With their assistance, a number of companies in the automotive, medical, food, oil and gas industries, and in the field of equipment manufacturing took part in the EEF and confirmed their intention to cooperate with Russian partners in the Russian Far East," said Kirill Kamenev, Deputy Director General of the Far East Development Fund for Investment Attraction.
