FEDC provides assistance in staffing the enterprises of the Northern Sea Route
The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) and the Northern Development Assistance Fund of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) provide support in staffing enterprises related to the activities of the Northern Sea Route (NSR). Through joint efforts, the FEDC and the Fund plan to provide employment for 100 people at these enterprises by the end of this year. In November 2024, the Fund and FEDC will continue a series of familiarization events and industrial excursions with the participation of Arctic and Far Eastern universities and technical schools that train specialists in demand at NSR enterprises.
According to Gasan Gasanbalaev, Executive Director of the FEDC for Social Development, in September, a “Career Day” was organized in the Arkhangelsk Region as part of the regional youth forum. The participants included more than 500 students from the Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M.V. Lomonosov (NArFU), as well as students from technical schools and colleges of the Arkhangelsk Region, which train specialists in the professions most in demand at SME enterprises. More than 10 similar events are planned by the end of November 2024, including in Arkhangelsk, Severodvinsk and Murmansk.
