FEDC: state support measures help create new enterprises in the agro-industrial complex in the Far East

The State Duma Committee for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic held an off-site meeting in Chita on the topic: "Legislative support for the sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex in the Far Eastern Federal District." The Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic took an active part in the event. The head of the agricultural desk of the investment department of the FEDC, Abdurazak Razakov, spoke about the realization of the potential of the agro-industrial complex of the Far Eastern Federal District using state support measures.

According to the FEDC, at present, about 180 Far Eastern and Arctic investors are implementing projects in the field of agriculture and the food industry with a total amount of declared investments of more than 170 billion rubles. A third of them (63 companies) have already started production. After the full launch of all enterprises, more than 18 thousand Far Easterners and northerners will get jobs. In fact, residents of the ASEZ, FPV and the Russian Arctic working in this industry invested 66.5 billion rubles in the economy of macro regions and employed 6.4 thousand local residents.
