The signing ceremony took place at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in the presence of the head of the Russian Ministry of Eastern Development Alexey Chekunkov. A transport and logistics center with a capacity of 230 thousand TEU will appear in the Primorsky Region in 2027. It is planned to invest 10 billion rubles in its construction; about 200 people will be employed. “The new railway container terminal on the border with China will become a strategically important transport facility not only for the economy of the Primorsky Territory, but also for the development of world trade. Its launch will increase the variability of delivery routes in export-import directions. Cooperation with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation is an important factor in the successful implementation of this large-scale project,” emphasized Vyacheslav Saraev.
