The competition was part of a strategic partnership between the FEDC and “Ozon”, aimed at supporting the creative industries of the Russian Far East and promoting regional brands on the federal market. Participants were asked to develop a universal visual concept for branded products, consisting of a set of patterns and thematic illustrations that could be adapted to various product categories – from clothing to souvenirs and accessories.
"We see this competition as a tool for engaging the creative community in real economic processes. It's noteworthy that the competition has generated interest throughout the Russian Federation: the winners include residents of the Volga region, Central Russia, and Siberia. This means that Far Eastern themes and the region's aesthetics are close to their hearts and interests. "It's important that participants don't just present ideas, but have the opportunity to develop them into production and market launches. Such projects help shape a new ecosystem in which creative industries become a fully-fledged part of the regional economy," noted Vyacheslav Zavalin, Acting Director of the Department of Territorial Development of the FEDC.
