FEDC and "Rosatom's" logistics integrator agreed on cooperation in the construction of the Western transport and logistics hub in the Murmansk region
The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) and “Rosatom's” logistics integrator – “Rusatom Cargo” LLC - signed a cooperation agreement within the framework of the construction of the Western Transport and Logistics Hub (WTLH). The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum with the participation of General Director of FEDC Nikolay Zapryagaev and General Director of “ZTLU” LLC (a subsidiary of “Rusatom Cargo” LLC) Alexey Levitsky.
“A regular container line through the Northern Sea Route will allow global trade participants to increase the flexibility and variability of delivery routes. The Western transport and logistics hub is an important component of the projected container line. Considering the complexity and scale of the project, cooperation with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation is an important factor in the successful launch of a key element of the future container line,” said Alexey Levitsky, General Director of ZTLU LLC.
The terminal, consisting of two deep-water berths designed to accommodate vessels with a capacity of up to 6 thousand TEUs, will be equipped with modern high-performance equipment. The estimated throughput capacity of the Western TLU will be about 10 million tons per year.
