The Russian Far East and Arctic Development Corporation and STLC agreed to cooperate at SPIEF

On June 16, 2022, within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) and State Transport Leasing Company, JSC (STLC) in the presence of the Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, Alexei Chekunkov.

The agreement provides for the parties joining efforts to implement a comprehensive project for the development of unmanned vehicles. An experimental mode on Sakhalin plans to use the capabilities of unmanned aerial vehicles to provide services to the population, such as the delivery of medicines, biomaterials, essential goods, pensions, and urgent mail. The FEDC and STLC are additionally ready to cooperate in creating and developing a ship repair cluster in the Arctic region.

“The Corporation plans to ensure that the structures of the State Transport Leasing Company are assigned resident status for the most suitable preferential regimes - ASEZ, FPV, or AZRF - for the implementation of new projects in the Arctic and the Far East. We’ll also help develop project concepts taking into account the needs and capabilities of the regions, select land for them, work out infrastructure support, find sources of financing, and we will comprehensively accompany new residents,“ said Nikolai Zapryagaev, General Director of the FEDC.
