Gazprom LNG Technologies plans to create a natural gas liquefaction complex and infrastructure for LNG refueling in the Amur Region

An agreement on cooperation in the implementation of a project to create a liquefied natural gas complex in the Svobodnensky district of the Amur region was signed at the Eastern Economic Forum by “Gazprom LNG Technologies”, the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation and the Government of the Amur Region. The small-scale complex for the production of liquefied natural gas will produce up to 5 tons per hour and more than 40 thousand tons per year. According to the project, gasification of transport in the region will be possible by the end of 2025. The company will invest at least 4 billion rubles in the project. “In addition to the positive impact on the environment, the use of gas fuel allows to reduce the cost of manufactured products and services provided by large industrial and agricultural companies, municipal and private motor transport enterprises, and public energy enterprises. Prices for end consumers also become lower. Together with the regional authorities, we will ensure that the investment project is assigned the status of a resident of the “Amurskaya” priority development territory (ASEZ). This work is already underway. As a result, the company will be able to obtain land and infrastructure support, a number of taxes will be zeroed out, and administrative preferences will become available. This will create comfortable conditions for the successful implementation of the project and increase its investment indicators,” said Nikolay Zapryagaev, General Director of the FEDC.
