Far Eastern Federal District colleges are expanding their continuing professional education programs to train local personnel at the workshops of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East

In Vladivostok, representatives of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) visited the Regional Technical College (RTC). FEDC Deputy General Director Gasan Gasanbalaev reviewed the implementation of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) programs, the operation of new workshops, and training programs for urban development, housing and utilities, public works, and the creative industries. Modern educational spaces were created at the college with the support of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the use of funds from the Unified Presidential Subsidy.

Over 800 students are studying at the RTC in the fields of “Welding”, “Water Supply and Sanitation”, “Garden and Landscape Construction”, and “Installation and Operation of Indoor Plumbing, Air Conditioning, and Ventilation”. During the visit, representatives of the FEDC inspected the training facilities, which are equipped with modern facilities. Students are learning on rigs simulating the operation of pumping stations, treatment facilities, and utility systems. The delegation paid special attention to the workshops created as part of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East project to develop modern vocational education infrastructure. Over the past two years, the college has opened a "Robotic Welding" workshop, equipped with plasma cutters, cutting tables, and programmable robotic manipulators, as well as eight workshops under the overall "Urban Improvement Complex" concept, including "Additive Technologies in Construction," "Housing and Utilities Automation," "Water Supply and Sanitation," "Garden, Park, and Landscape Construction," and "Climate Control Workshop."
