Key development areas for the Far East and the Arctic will be discussed at a TASS press conference

On February 17, TASS will host a press conference dedicated to key development areas in Russia's Far Eastern and Arctic regions and the XI International Scientific and Practical Conference "Far East and Arctic: Sustainable Development" in Moscow on March 11-12.

Sakhamin Afanasyev, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Federal Structure, Regional Policy, Local Government, and Northern Affairs; Dmitry Demeshin, Governor of Khabarovsk Region; Anton Basansky, State Secretary and Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic; Evgeny Vlasov, Head of the Kamchatka Region Representative Office to the Russian Government; and Tamara Mordasova, Executive Director of the "Far East and Arctic: Sustainable Development" conference, will discuss the development of transport infrastructure in the North and Far East, the transformation of the Northern Sea Route into a Trans-Arctic Transport Corridor, the implementation of master plans for key population centers, and the strategic prospects for the oil, gas, and mining industries in the Russian Arctic. The conference will also discuss domestic innovative solutions and their implementation in the Far Eastern and Arctic regions.
