Maria Grishinkova, Director of the FEDC “Sakhalin and Kuril Islands”: “The assignment of the Sunrise Hill Hotel to the 4-star category is a striking example of the successful development of tourism infrastructure by residents of preferential regimes on Sakhalin. The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) provides comprehensive support to such projects, understanding their key role in revealing the huge tourism potential of the region. Sakhalin with its unique nature, ski slopes of "Gorny Vozdukh" and growing event calendar is becoming an increasingly attractive destination. We see a steady interest of residents in tourism and hospitality as a growth point for the economy of Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands."
