Providing labor resources for mining enterprises in the Far East will be discussed at the strategic session of the FEDC in Magadan

In Magadan, as part of the MINEX Far East forum, a series of events of the Consortium “Leaders of Mining Education - Far East” will be held. On March 28, 2024, members of the Consortium, together with leading companies in the industry, will take part in a meeting of the MINEX Mining Club; on March 29, a strategic session will be held on the topic of training personnel for mining enterprises and synchronizing educational processes with the needs of mining enterprises in the Far Eastern Federal District. Managers and employees of mining industry enterprises, as well as representatives of government bodies, educational and research organizations of the Far East, and regional development institutions will attend the events. The organizers of the strategic session are the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), North-Eastern State University (NESU) and the “Good Ecology” company. Director of the Human Resources Development Department of the FEDC Yuri Prokhorov spoke about the main topics of discussion. Firstly, this is a study of the possibilities of scaling projects of universities that are members of the consortium “Leaders of Mining Education - Far East” to interact with industrial partners in training qualified personnel for the mining industry. Secondly, this is the planning of new personnel projects for mining enterprises, based on interaction according to the “Universities - Region - Industry” scheme, as well as the development of new proposals for training and attracting young specialists during group tracks. And the third key area of work for the session participants is the joint development of a roadmap for projects of the “Leaders of Mining Education – Far East” consortium for 2024–2025,” noted Yuri Prokhorov.
