From Germany to the Far East by car: a family of compatriots moved to Khabarovsk with the support of the FEDC

Since the start of the implementation of the State Program for the voluntary resettlement of compatriots living abroad to Russia (2007), 72 thousand people have moved to the Far East, including 1.5 thousand people in 2024. The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) provides compatriots with information and advisory support, helps regional employers in the selection and employment of specialists fr om among those who have moved, participates in the development of support measures for them, and cooperates with government agencies in the implementation of the State Program in the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District. The Far East is chosen as a place to live and work by compatriots from Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, as well as from the Baltic countries, Latin America, Germany, Israel and other countries. According to the terms of the State Program, all 11 regions of the Far Eastern Federal District are territories of priority settlement, wh ere additional measures of state support are provided. The implementation of the State Program in the Far East is supervised by specialists from the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and FEDC. One of the families that moved to the Far East from Germany in 2024 was the Morozov family. Evgeny and Tatyana have three daughters: Karina (22 years old), Katya (17 years old) and Dasha (8 years old). The Morozovs came to the Far East from Europe on their 9-seater bus with a trailer across the entire country, covering more than 10 thousand kilometers.
