The 10th All-Russian Interdisciplinary Olympiad "Closer to the Far East" has concluded its second round

The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU), and the “Uchi.ru” educational platform announce the results of the second qualifying round of the X All-Russian Interdisciplinary Olympiad "Closer to the Far." The second round was held from January 27 to February 3, 2026, and 50 finalists were selected. Participants in the second round, as well as the Olympiad's prize winners and runners-up, will be eligible to receive up to 10 additional points toward their individual achievements when applying to FEFU and other partner universities.

More than 600 10th- and 11th-grade students and first- and second-year secondary vocational students who successfully completed the first round were admitted to participate. Participants ranged from the Chukotka Autonomous District and Sakhalin to the Republic of Adygea and Crimea. Regions of the Far East were widely represented, including Primorsky, Khabarovsky, Amursky and Sakhalin Regions, the Jewish Autonomous District, Transbaikalia, and Buryatia. A significant number of schoolchildren and students came from the Urals and Siberia, central Russia, and the North Caucasus.

The third in-person stage of the Olympiad will take place from April 13 to 18, 2026, in Vladivostok on the FEFU campus.
