The results of the “Hectare” program's implementation in 2025 were summarized at the “January hearings”

By the end of 2025, the “Hectare” program had confirmed its status as a key tool for the spatial development of the Russian Far East and Arctic. This was announced by Elvira Nurgalieva, Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic, during the annual meeting hosted by Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District, to summarize the socioeconomic development of the Far East and Arctic and formulate priorities for 2026 (the "January Hearings"). The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) oversees the implementation of the “Hectare” program in the Far Eastern Federal District and the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation.

The Deputy Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East reported that 21,600 people received free land plots in 2025. This is a 24% increase from 17,400 in 2024. Although the program will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2026, interest in it continues to grow, with the number of new participants increasing annually. In total, nearly 19,000 land plots covering over 13,000 hectares were provided to applicants in 2025—an area comparable in size to the average Russian city.
