The testing ground of the “Yakutia” ASEZ’s resident is the only one in the country to continue winter tire testing in March

Testing of studded and friction tires from one of Russia's largest manufacturers has begun at the North-Eastern Federal University (NEFU) Testing Range, located in the “Yakutia” ASEZ. Testing is being conducted on snow and ice surfaces. The investment project to create the test range was implemented under an agreement with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), with an investment of approximately 51.7 million rubles.

Company representatives note that in the central part of the country, given the short winter, testing can only be conducted until the end of February. The NEFU test site is the only one in the country where winter testing is conducted in March.

Testing at the testing site will continue for several weeks. The results will be used by the research and development center to make decisions about the introduction of new tire models into mass production.
