Investors were presented with master plans for cities in the Far East

On August 6, the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) hosted in Moscow the Investor Day for Master Plan Projects for Far Eastern cities. More than 150 representatives of federal and regional authorities, development institutions and large businesses from all regions of the Far East took part in the event. Key projects for the integrated development of territories were presented. All the initiatives presented were formed on the basis of master plans for Far Eastern cities, approved by order of the President of Russia, and synchronized with federal programs. The meeting was opened by Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic Elvira Nurgalieva. "Many cities in the Far East were designed and developed as industrial centers, military outposts, access to some cities was limited. Master plans for cities in the Far East are strategic documents that define the new mission and economy of cities. Implementation of master plans will create new economic sectors in the cities of the Far East, new jobs and, as a result, replenish local budgets, making them more sustainable. Master plans have been implemented for the third year, and during this time, half of the facilities have already been launched: they have either been built, are being built, or are being designed," Nurgalieva said. Today, the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) is developing 84 investment projects within the framework of master plans with a total capital investment of more than 900 billion rubles. The task of the FEDC is to finalize them in such a way that the profit and payback of the projects become clear to investors, and the projects themselves are attractive for investment.
