The Russian-Chinese Economic Forum "AmurExpo" was held on May 22-25 in Blagoveshchensk (Amur Region, Russia) and Heihe (Heilongjiang Province, China) as a visiting platform of the Eastern Economic Forum. Over the four days of work, 40 sessions of regional and federal scale were held. The forum was organized with the support of the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation. The AEF is organized by the Government of the Amur Region, the Amur Region Investment Promotion Agency, and the Roscongress Foundation. The forum operators are the Roscongress Foundation and the Amur Region Territory Development Center.
"The Russian-Chinese Economic Forum "AmurExpo" is a visiting platform of the Eastern Economic Forum. This year, the EEF is being held for the tenth time. The forum will be given special attention. All proposals that will be collected at the visiting sites will be discussed by the organizing committee for inclusion in the EEF-2025 program. One of the EEF tracks will traditionally be strengthening cooperation with friendly countries. Relations between Russia and China are an important stabilizing factor in world politics and economics. In the Far East, in the territories of advanced development and in the free port of Vladivostok, 65 investment projects with a total investment volume of 1 trillion rubles are being implemented with the participation of Chinese capital. There may be more such projects. We are open to further cooperation not only in the economy, but also invite China to participate in scientific and technological projects and develop humanitarian ties between our countries," emphasized Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation - Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev.
More than 100 speakers and experts from Russia, the UAE, China, India, Belarus and Iran took part in the AEF. Among them were representatives of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Utilities of Russia, the Federation Council and the State Duma of Russia, the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation, Roskachestvo, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, as well as regional executive authorities, large corporations and business associations. Public organizations and industry experts were also represented at the event.
This year, 15 agreements were signed at AmurExpo, including the construction of the country's largest solar power plant with a capacity of about 650 MW, the development of services for tourists from China, and the creation of a Federal Competence Center for the development of business cooperation with China and other Asian countries in the Amur Region.
The Blagoveshchensk branch of Sberbank signed an agreement with the Association of International Cooperation in Tourism "World Without Borders". It is planned to develop a comfortable hospitality infrastructure for tourists from China in a number of areas, including the formation and implementation of standards for receiving and servicing tourists, improving the level of hospitality service in the region, and compliance with the principles of China Friendly certification standards.
