The Innovative Scientific and Technological Center “Russkiy” is becoming a hub for technological development in the Far East.

A roundtable discussion, "The Far East – Innovations in Action," was held at the Russian Information Center TASS in Vladivostok. The discussion focused on supporting high-tech projects and developing a sustainable scientific, educational, and entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Far East. Representatives of federal and regional government agencies, development institutions, the Far Eastern Federal University, the management company of the Innovative Scientific and Technological Center (ISTC), and the center's resident companies participated in the discussion.

Opening the discussion, participants noted that the “Russkiy” ISTC is considered one of the key federal instruments for the scientific and technological development of the Far East. The project is being implemented within the framework of long-term government policy and is aimed not only at creating infrastructure but also at developing a new model for the region's technological economy, focusing on the commercialization of developments and access to markets in Russia and the Asia-Pacific region. Vitaly Altabaev, Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic, reported that funding for the first phase of the “Russkiy” Scientific and Technical Center and its engineering infrastructure is being provided through the Unified Presidential Subsidy as planned and is being synchronized with construction schedules and the needs of future residents. The Deputy Minister also highlighted the state support tools available for scientific research and its scaling. The infrastructure section of the discussion focused on the practical implementation of the "Russkiy" Scientific and Technical Center project. Nikolay Zapryagaev, CEO of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), reported about the current status of construction and the stages of building the center's infrastructure. He noted that FEDC, as the developer, is ensuring the project's phased implementation—from site preparation and utility networks to the commissioning of the buildings. He also emphasized that the ISTC's first facilities will be commissioned on schedule, with priority given to the capacity needed for the residents' initial operations.
