Currently, in the Khabarovsk region, the total area of greenhouses for growing fresh vegetables is 8 hectares. Their products cannot fully meet the demand. Therefore, the region purchases agricultural products from other regions of Russia and from China.
The project of LLC "Engineering and Trading Group" is focused on improving the food security of the region. The enterprise will grow 1080 tons of cucumbers and 960 tons of tomatoes per year.
The first phase of the project is scheduled to be put into operation in January 2024. Under an agreement with the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, investments in the creation of a greenhouse complex will amount to 87.2 million rubles, 51 jobs will be created.
“In total, we will build 12 greenhouses with a total area of 6 hectares. Three greenhouses will be commissioned in 2024, four in 2025 and five in 2026. Year-round heating will make it possible to harvest three crops of cucumbers and tomatoes per year. Full computer control of heating, lighting, watering and dosing of fertilizers will allow us to obtain high quality vegetables. We plan to provide agricultural products to the residents of the Khabarovsk region,”- said Anton Romanov, head of Engineering and Trade Group LLC.
