The governors of the Far East regions highly appreciated the potential of the creative industries of the Far East

Interaction between representatives of the creative industries and heads of regions, measures to support the creative economy and the willingness of the authorities to participate in its development were discussed at the session "The Governor as a producer of the region" of the festival-forum "Russian Creative Week - Far East". The Agency for Strategic Initiatives has been assessing the contribution of creative industries to the gross regional product of the Far Eastern regions for several years now. For example, in the most creative region of the country, which last year was recognized as the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), 8% of the economy is made up of creative industries. 11% of organizations and individual entrepreneurs work in this area, and three industries generate the largest contribution - IT, architecture, and science. The development of a creative economy is not only an increase in the contribution of creative industries to the gross regional product, it is the growth of the entire economy,” said the head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Aisen Nikolaev. By 2035, the republic plans to double the contribution of creative industries to the economy and increase the number of people employed in creative industries up to 15%. At the same time, the structure of the creative economy will also change - in addition to IT, a large place will be occupied by the film industry, animation and music.
