A new resident of the Kuril Islands will open a hotel on Iturup in 2027

The “Atoll” company will build a mini-hotel with 15 rooms and a café on Iturup Island under the special tax regime of the Kuril Islands, which exempts businesses from taxes for 20 years. The project is aimed at developing tourism and attracting travelers to the Kuril Islands. Investments in the new hospitality facility, which is scheduled to open in 2027, will amount to more than 50 million rubles. The hotel will receive more than 1,000 tourists per year. "The decision to build a hotel on Iturup is an important step in the development of the company and all-season tourism on the island. This will make it possible to discover the unique nature of the island for tourists from different regions of Russia, increasing the number of available places to stay. The project includes the placement of a cafe and the improvement of the adjacent territory to create a comfortable urban environment," said Evgeny Zamihovsky, founder of the “Atoll” company. The investor has already implemented a number of projects in the Kuril Islands aimed at improving the quality of life on the island. Among them is a modern kindergarten for 110 children in the village of Krabozavodskoye on Shikotan Island, the construction of a three-story residential building and kindergarten in the village of Kitovoye on Iturup Island.
