The head of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East visited the regional pavilions on the "Far East Street"

The Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic of Russia Alexey Chekunkov toured the expositions of the Far Eastern Federal District regions during the 10th Eastern Economic Forum. In the pavilions located on the embankment of Ajax Bay on Russky Island, the top officials of the regions presented the tourism potential and key socio-economic achievements over the decade of the Eastern Economic Forum. The tour was also attended by the Chairman of the State Duma Committee for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic Nikolay Kharitonov and the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy Maxim Topilin.

The head of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, Alexey Chekunkov, noted: “The Eastern Economic Forum and the Far East Street exhibition have entered a stage of maturity. Ten years is a sufficient period of time when lessons have been learned and practices have been collected. The exhibition is worthily fulfilling the role of a presentation showcase of the Far East regions. The next height that we need to reach is to involve the Arctic in this orbit. So far, the regions of the Far North are not represented at the exhibition, but we plan to involve them in the future. The exhibition presents goods from local businesses, investment opportunities and, very importantly, aspects related to history and patriotic education. All regions dedicated a worthy place to the special military operation, our veterans and the 80th anniversary of the Victory.”
