A gas power plant was launched by a resident of the Yakutia priority development area - the “Sayuri” greenhouse complex, created on permafrost territory

In Yakutsk, a ceremony was held to launch a gas piston power plant (GPP) of the agro-complex OOO "Sayuri", where vegetables and greens are grown year-round in the conditions of the Far North. The products have affordable price and provide up to 25% of the needs of Yakutia residents. The new energy facility with a capacity of 2 MW will ensure stable operation of the greenhouse complex, minimize production risks and significantly reduce the costs of the resident of the priority development area "Yakutia" on electricity consumption. The acquisition and commissioning of the gas processing plant was carried out using federal budget funds in the amount of more than 100 million rubles, allocated by the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Policy of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) as part of the work of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) to provide infrastructure to residents of priority development areas. According to the head of the project of OOO “Zvezda Arktiki” - the management organization of OOO “Sayuri”, Valery Garipov, the agro-complex has modern equipment and produces 2,400 tons of cucumbers, tomatoes and green crops in greenhouses with an area of 3.3 hectares. Significant measures of state support helped to create a sustainable and systematically developing enterprise, to provide residents of the republic with fresh vegetables of high quality at an affordable price all year round. The new gas power plant will increase Sayuri LLC’s own generation to 6 MW of capacity, which will ensure stable operation of the greenhouse complex, minimize production risks and significantly reduce costs.
