The “Amtatai” Gastrofestival will be part of the International Forum "Created in the Far East" in Ulan-Ude

From May 22 to 24, 2026, Ulan-Ude will host the second “Amtatai” gastronomic festival, a key part of the cultural program of the International Forum of Creative Industries "Created in the Far East. From Content to Capital." The forum in Ulan-Ude will showcase the achievements of the Far East's creative economy and set new development vectors—from showcasing projects and solutions to concluding agreements and launching new business initiatives.

The “Amtatai” festival's concept is built around authenticity and local identity: dozens of restaurants and gastronomic projects will present dishes based on traditional Buryat recipes using local ingredients. The festival program will combine gastronomy, entrepreneurship, and creative industries: the area near the “Pioneer-2” shopping and entertainment center will be transformed into a large-scale open-air restaurant area.

Over the course of three days, guests will enjoy culinary competitions featuring professional chefs, tastings, a fair of local producers, master classes, and a trade show featuring regional brands. The festival will also feature performances by Buryatia's creative groups as part of a special music program.
