As part of the business program of the 10th International Scientific and Practical Conference "Far East and Arctic: Sustainable Development", a ceremonial presentation of the II annual award "For the Development of the Far East and Arctic" took place. The awards were presented to the finalists by Gadzimagomed Guseinov, First Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic.
"The President of our country has defined the development of the Far East and the Arctic as a priority for the entire 21st century. Both macro-regions are traditionally associated with huge reserves of minerals and investment projects, but the most important thing is people. Those who develop these vast territories, building railways and sea ports, icebreakers and airplanes, factories and enterprises, modernizing cities and conducting scientific research. All this would be impossible without people. And today I have the great honor of presenting some of them with well-deserved awards," Gadzimagomed Guseinov greeted the finalists.
