The new resident of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation (AZRF), the company "Aqua-Yamala", will expand the production of non-alcoholic bottled drinks in the city of Novy Urengoy in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. Under the agreement with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), the investor is investing 11 million rubles. The project with a capacity of 200 tons of products per month will be launched in 2027.
“Food production is always in demand. Food industry enterprises in the Arctic strengthen food security of the regions. The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation supports entrepreneurs who are residents of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation: thanks to preferential tax rates and administrative support, it is easy to create business,” noted Anastasia Zhuk, Deputy Director of the Department for Supporting the Implementation of Investment Projects at the FEDC.
For the first 5 years, residents of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug are not subject to land tax, and income tax is 5%. For the first 10 years, residents' insurance premiums are subsidized by 75%.
