FEFU presented cutting-edge developments in biotechnology at the “United Russia” forum

On the eve of the opening of the "There Are Results" forum, dedicated to the development of territories under the “United Russia” People's Program, Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District; Vladimir Yakushev, Secretary of the Party's General Council and First Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council; and Oleg Kozhemyako, Governor of Primorsky Region visited the FEFU Innovation and Production Center and the FEFU Advanced Engineering School, the Institute of Biotechnology, Bioengineering, and Food Systems.

The FEFU Innovation and Production Center (IPC) was built jointly with the Primorsky Region government in 2024-2025. This infrastructure provides a pilot production base for the creation of new high-tech products. The center can accommodate small businesses beginning to manufacture high-tech products that require connections to the university's research infrastructure and rapid access to its talent pool. By the end of 2026, the new residents of the IPC will have created up to 50 new jobs and accepted an additional 50 students for internships.

The FEFU Advanced Engineering School, the “Institute of Biotechnology, Bioengineering, and Food Systems”, is the Far Eastern Federal District's leading center of excellence for the creation and development of technologies for various sectors of the bioeconomy. The school was established in 2022 as part of the Advanced Engineering Schools federal project and is one of the 30 leading scientific and educational centers in the country, as designated by the Russian Government.
