The crab vessels are built to the Damen Csa 5712LS design. They are 57.7 meters long, 12.6 meters wide, and have a draft of 5.7 meters. A 1,620-kilowatt main engine provides a speed of approximately 12.6 knots. The vessels are designed for catching crab with traps and storing and transporting live catch in bulk tanks filled with seawater. Each vessel is equipped with nine RSW tanks, each containing ten cages. Each cage has a capacity of 850–900 kilograms. The vessels were manufactured at the Nakhodka Shipyard, an FPV resident.
"The 'Quotas for Investment' program, proposed by President Vladimir Putin, has become a key factor in reviving the shipbuilding industry and modernizing the fishing industry. We are proud to participate in this significant project. Our shipyard is building modern crab vessels, which has allowed us to master new technologies and create over 600 jobs. Being a resident of the Free Port of Vladivostok has provided us with tax breaks and the opportunity to modernize our production," said Sergey Starovoitov, CEO of JSC NSRY.
