Achievements, expanded interaction, and cross-border cooperation: the results of the AmurExpo-2026 forum have been summarized

The results of the Russia-China Economic Forum "AmurExpo" (AEF), which took place in Blagoveshchensk and Heihe, China, from May 21–24, have been announced. Over the four days of the Forum, 71 regional and federal sessions were held. More than 100 events dedicated to regional development, logistics, tourism, creative industries, and the digital economy took place as part of "AmurExpo."

For the fourth time, the AEF served as a visiting platform for the Eastern Economic Forum. The event, held during Russian President Vladimir Putin's state visit to China, provided a practical platform for implementing the agreements reached at the highest level.

"We are committed to developing mutually beneficial cooperation with friendly countries in various areas. Leaders at the head-of-state level agreed to strengthen Russia's interaction with our neighbor. The AmurExpo Russian-Chinese Economic Forum is one platform for discussing opportunities to strengthen friendly ties between our countries and demonstrates the results of this work," said Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District.

The key event was the plenary session "Amur Corridor to the Future: Russia and China – From Good-Neighborliness to Joint Growth." The session highlighted the successes already achieved: by 2025, the macro-region's trade turnover with China increased by 45%, and passenger traffic by 16%, and a number of joint logistics, social, and cultural projects have been implemented. Further ways to expand cooperation between Russia and China were also discussed.
