Achieving technological sovereignty for the development of local energy in the Far Eastern Federal District with state support was discussed at INNOPROM-2023

The Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic (FEDC) organized a round table on the topic "Technological sovereignty in diesel power generation as the basis for the energy security of the Far East and the Arctic", which took place on the sidelines of the international industrial exhibition INNOPROM in Yekaterinburg. The event was supported by the “Energy Innovation” Association and ANO “Innovative Engineering Center” (“Innopraktika”). According to the moderator of the discussion, head of energy and housing and communal services of the FEDC Maxim Gubanov, the total capacity of diesel power generation in remote and isolated areas of the Far East and the Arctic is more than 1 GW, of which more than half require modernization of generating equipment already at the present time. “All current and potential investment projects in this area face the problem of generating equipment supply. In the current situation, achieving technological sovereignty in diesel power generation is a key condition for ensuring the energy security of the territories of the Far East and the Arctic, as well as other regions of the Far North,” the representative of the FEDC noted. As a result of the session, proposals will be formed on import substitution and the achievement of technological sovereignty in the implementation of investment projects for the development of local energy in the Far East and the Arctic. They will be presented at the VIII Eastern Economic Forum, which will be held on September 10-13, 2023 in Vladivostok.
