Three Far Eastern regions will receive additional funds for social infrastructure development

The issue of changing the social development plans of the economic growth centers of the Far Eastern regions was on the agenda of a meeting of the Presidium of the Government Commission for the Social and Economic Development of the Far East, held in Khabarovsk under the leadership of Yury Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District.

Opening the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister said that measures to modernize the social infrastructure in the Far East were being taken in pursuance of an instruction from Russian President Vladimir Putin. “This social development work has been ongoing since 2018. More than 118 billion rubles have been allocated from the federal budget to implement social development plans in 2018-2023,” said Yury Trutnev opening the meeting.
