The Far Eastern Federal District was awarded a diploma for the creation of the first interregional film industry development system

As part of the “Kinomayevka” festival, held in Crimea at the “Tavrida” art cluster, the Far Eastern Federal District received a diploma in the "First Interregional Ecosystem" nomination based on the results of the research project "Platform of Film Commissions" aimed at identifying the cinematic potential of the regions of the Russian Federation.

The diploma was signed by Anna Yarina, Director of the Cinematography Department of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, and Fyodor Sosnov, Executive Director of the Cinema Foundation. The award was a recognition of the systematic work of the institutes of development of the Far East on the formation of a full-fledged film industry in the macroregion. The “Kinomayevka” Festival brought together more than 5,000 participants, including representatives of government agencies, major media holdings, online cinemas, film studios and the professional community. More than 800 industry specialists took part in the business program. For three days, the participants discussed the development of domestic cinema, measures of state support, new formats of interaction between the state and business, as well as prospects for regional film production. Elvira Nurgalieva, Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, noted that the award confirms the effectiveness of the industry development model built in the district.
